TheraPlatform allows providers to add a preferred name to a client's record. Once a preferred name is added, you can search for the client using either their legal name or their preferred name. This flexibility also applies when scheduling new appointments—both names can be used to find and select the client.
How to Add a Preferred Name to a Client’s Record
Go to Clients, then select the eye icon next to the name of the client.
Select Client Details.
In the Preferred Name field, enter the desired name.
Scroll down and select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
How to Search for a Client by Preferred Name
Go to Clients.
In the Client Search field, enter the client’s preferred name.
When the client appears in the dropdown, select their name to open their record.
How to Schedule a Meeting Using a Client’s Preferred Name
Go to Schedule, then select the Add a Meeting icon.
In the Client field, enter the preferred name and select the client from the dropdown.
Fill in the meeting details such as time and date.
Select Save Changes to schedule the meeting.
