Billing statements include invoices, payments, and refunds within a specified date range created for a client.
There are two ways you can create billing statements:
- Manually
- With Automation
Note: If almost all of your clients will require billing statements, you can automate this and our system will automatically created them according to your specified time. However if you have a few clients, who will not require statements, you can still enable automation under Settings, and then disable it for certain clients under the chart. See directions below on how to disable it for certain clients below.
To create billing statements manually follow these steps:
Step 1: Click Clients.
Step 2: Click on the eye icon next to the name of your client or start typing the name of your client in the top search Client bar to open the chart.
Step 3: Click on the Billing < Statements.
Step 4: Click on the Add Statement button and select the date range for the statement.
Step 5: You will have an option to "Download", "Print" or "Send" a statement to your client.
To create statements via automation:
Step 1: Click Settings.
Step 2: Click on the Billing< Settings.
Step 3: Click on the Edit button and toggle on "Auto Create Statements".
Step 4: Select how often the statement should be created and click on Save Changes.
Please note that with the automation option, the statement will be sent to the client when the statement is created.
To disable auto create statements for some clients, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on Clients.
Step 2: Click on the eye icon next to the name of your client or start typing the name of your client in the top search Client bar to open the chart.
Step 3: Click on Billing< Billing Account< Edit Billing Account.
Step 4: Mark option " Disable Auto Statements" in blue.
Step 5: Click on Save changes.
