The Change Layout option in a telehealth call allows providers to adjust their screen view during a live session, allowing them to document and access calendar, and records without needing to click on Tools.
Benefits of Using Change Layout
Complete therapy notes in real time without ending the session or needing to use the Tools feature—the client continues to see the provider, not notes or a blank screen
Enlarge and resize the client’s camera feed as needed
Access the calendar or client records while the call remains active
This feature allows providers to document, review records, and schedule appointments without disrupting the client’s experience.
How to Use the Change Layout Option
Step 1: After joining your Telehealth call, select the Change Layout icon (a rectangle with dark and light purple colors) located to the left of the explanation point at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: While in this layout, you will only be able to access the Schedule and the Clients tab.
This will split the screen on the provider's side only. From here, you can:
Option 1: Click on the Calendar to schedule or and document by clicking on the scheduled meeting, then select Add Note.
Option 2: Click on Clients and use the search bar to find your client. Once in the chart, select the type of note you wish to document (e.g., Assessment, Progress Notes), then select Add Note.
Important: Your client does not see what you pull on the screen. This is only visible on your end.
Note: To manipulate the size of the client's camera, you can select the gray vertical bar next to the client's camera, then drag that bar across the screen to adjust its size.

Important Note
When the provider selects the Change Layout icon, the layout change only applies to the provider’s view.
The client’s screen will remain the same, and they will not see any change to their layout/visual during the session.
