To have a video call on mobile devices such as Android, one needs to allow access to the web camera when prompted. When one forgets to tap allow the camera, one should restart the device and allow the camera when prompted when connecting again.
Note: If the clinician clicks on Tools during the video call, the camera of both the clinician and the client will hide on small mobile devices such as iPhone or Android so whoever is on the small device will not see. This is something that needs to occur because tools (e.g. whiteboard take up space and the screen size on small mobile devices cannot fit both). However if the clinician wants to quit the tools and go back to full screen camera, the clinician can click on the green magnifying glass below the video to do so.
If you are still unable to see the video feed, you may need to check a few things in the following order:
Step 1: Restart your device
Step 2: Make sure your camera works with Face-time
If you are still experiencing issues with your camera and microphone, you may need to check your Camera & Microphone Access in your Settings:
Step 1: On your Android device, open the Chrome app.
Step 2: To the right of the address bar, tap More. Settings.
Step 3: Tap Site Settings.
Step 4: Tap the Camera.
Step 5: Tap to turn the camera on.
Note: If you were accidentally denied access to the device's camera and mic, you must reset device permissions.
How to reset Chrome permissions:
Step 1: Open your device's Settings app.
Step 2: Go to Apps & App permissions.
Step 3: Select Chrome from your list of installed apps.
Step 4: Open Permissions and ensure your camera & mic are toggled on.
