Note templates can be assign to specific provider types by the admin so clinicians can only see note templates specific to their profession vs all note templates.
Important note: To assign note templates to providers, please make sure that you set up the templates from our library or built your own from scratch. To learn how to enable note templates from our library and edit them, refer to this article. To learn how to build your own templates, refer to this article.
Here are directions on how to assign specific note templates to specific providers:
Step 1: Click on Settings > Notes.
Step 2: Click on Assign Notes.
Step 3: Next click on the Assign Notes button.
Step 4: At the pop-up box, under the provider type field, select the provider type (e.g. psychologist).
Step 5: Under the Chart note field, select the template/s (if you don't use chart notes in your practice, you can skip this part. Please note that chart notes are not associated with scheduled sessions and billing. They are free standing and serve more as the admin note.)
Step 6: Under Assessment and Treatment plan, select all templates applicable to the provider. You can select as many as you want. In the same box, just keep clicking on the titles of the assessments.
Step 7: Under Progress notes, select as many templates as you want.
Step 8: Under discharge notes, select as many templates as you want .
Step 9: Click on the Assign button.
Note: To assign other templates to another provider type, follow the above steps.
Step 10: After you assign note templates to specific provider types following the above steps, go to Settings<Notes<Settings, and toggle on "Show only assign notes" so only templates that you assigned to a particular provider will show for this provider when the provider documents. This way the provider will not see other note templates. For example, the psychotherapists will see note templates for their discipline but not for other (e.g. speech therapy, etc.)
